PIETSCH,THOMAS;

Description:

Baroque violinist Thomas Pietsch, known as a pioneer of HIP, plays Bach! This is a collection of Bach's unaccompanied sonatas and partitas played by Thomas Pietsch, a baroque violinist born in Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg state, where Sanssouci Palace is located. Peitsch was introduced to the baroque violin at the age of 15 by his grandmother, the violinist Lena von Bülow, and continued his studies of various instruments during his studies at the Hans Eisler University of Music and Performing Arts in Berlin. He continued his studies of church music in Dresden and violin and viola da gamba in Hamburg. Peetsch is known as one of the pioneers of HIP (historically informed performance) in the violin repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, and is active as concertmaster of the Camerata Academica Hamburg, a member of Musica Antiqua Cologne, and a member of the He is widely active in the field of period performance, including founding the Sanssouci Ensemble Hamburg (now the Jupiter Ensemble Hamburg).He has also explored the possibilities of the baroque violin in collaboration with renowned keyboard players such as Bob van Asperen and Edith Picht-Axenfeldt. The instrument used in this recording is a violin made by Hans Kegel (Vienna) in 1672. The recording was made at the monastery of Boldesholm Church, built in 1309 in northern Germany, where Bach traveled to visit Buxtehude. Please enjoy the supreme Bach spun out of a deep investigation into the period. Tokyo M-Plus
