The harpsichord virtuoso Pierre Antaï has been playing Domenico Scarlatti's sonatas on the MIRARE label with an intelligent and natural approach. In his new release, he has recorded the long-awaited Handel! This album features Handel's first four sonatas from the first volume of his Clavusan (Harpsichord) Suites. Handel visited Italy from 1706 to 1710, where he met Corelli and Alessandro Scarlatti (Domenico's father and composer of Italian opera), who greatly influenced him. He then left behind many operas as well as chamber music and keyboard works. The first volume of the Clavoussin Suites, published in 1720, consists of eight pieces, and the number of movements differs depending on the work. The number of movements differs depending on the work. Enjoy this performance with the rich colors and vividness of Antaï's unique style. Pierre Antaï (harpsichord) was born in Paris in 1964. He was fascinated by the music of Bach and inspired by the playing of Gustav Leonhardt, and began to play the harpsichord on his own.He studied under Arthur Haas and began performing not only as a soloist but also with his eldest brother Marc Anthey (flute) and second brother Jerome Anthey (viol), winning many prizes. He then studied with Leonhard and at the same time was welcomed as a harpsichordist in his ensemble. He has performed with Philippe Herreweghe, François Fernandez, Marc Minkowski, and others. He has also formed his own ensemble, "Le Concert Français," which he performs with. He is a frequent guest at the La Folle Journée Music Festival. King International Inc.
