Compilation of various Children's Records recordings made between 1962 and 1982 as part of French schooling! Ya!!!! France, early 60's... The contemporary music movement flourishes. Pedagogue Célestin Freynet began to implement a new approach to music education in schools, encouraging free expression. He encouraged free expression: "Anything in the classroom that can make a sound... springs, bottles, wash basins, dismantled piano frames, drums, bamboo... wild improvisations with very early DIY elements, primitive a cappella, dissonance, or magnetic tape, experiments with disappearing folk songs... These recordings, with a truly free-thinking approach, were compiled into dozens of recordings between 1962 and 1982. Moreover, the music was collected mainly from rural school children, not privileged children from high-society cultural backgrounds. A total of 23 songs are packed with the free-spiritedness of the so-called Children's Records, and this is the best part of the music: !!!! The liner notes are in English and French.The CD version comes with a 28-page booklet.
