It is worth noting that \"Michelangelo Dying,\" which was produced between Hydra, Cardiff, London, and Los Angeles, was finished in the California desert, where much of the album's landscape and heartache exist in her mind. There is as much that is unspoken, or rather obscure, as that which is stated.Le Bon's rich, deeply textured arrangements were layered when she had no words and never tried to find them. Musically, there is a continuation and expansion of the sound (a machine with a heart) shaped by the last two albums (\"Reward\" in 2019 and \"Pompeii\" in 2022) in which Le Bon took the lead in performance and production.
