Wolfgang Zandner, reviewing one of their early collaborations, makes an interesting point. Tunisian oud master Anouar Brahem is as far removed from the Arab music traditionally played in his homeland as Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek is from mainstream jazz. Indeed, Brahem and Garbarek are very independent spirits, outsiders who meet here on equal footing. In this interesting and often thrilling piece, they are accompanied in part by a third original figure, Pakistani tabla master Ustad Shaukat Husain. This is the gatefold version of the Luminessence series. ,<personnel> Jan Garbarek (ss,ts) Anouar Brahem (oud) Ustad Shaukat Hussain (tabla)</personnel>

Tracklisting:

1.Sull Lull
2.Madar
3.Sebika
1.Bahia
2.Ramy
3.Jaw
4.Joron
5.Qaws
6.Epilogue
