These three pieces were written after he left Italy and moved to the United States. The \"Violin Concerto No. 3\" was commissioned by his friend Heifetz, and is an unusual composition with piano accompaniment rather than orchestra. Heifetz was not satisfied with the third movement, however, and the composer made several attempts to revise it, but it ended up unpublished.
