These works, which are small in scale and relatively easy to play, are especially popular among students, and are full of beautiful melodies that are characteristic of Schubert. The violinist playing in the concert, Chan Hsien-jin, is a remarkable young violinist who studied under Takako Nishizaki at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and under S. Kravchenko, who was an assistant to Leonid Kogan at the Moscow Conservatory. Recorded in Hong Kong in 2015 with pianist Warren Lee, first prize winner at the Stravinsky International Piano Competition.
