The five-movement \"Symphony No. 1,\" written at the request of conductor Stern, is written to praise all human beings, much like the message in Beethoven's \"Ninth. The newly constructed music, using motifs from Gregorian chant, Guillaume Dufay's Mass, and 17th century Jewish liturgy, is sure to move you in ways you will not be able to describe.
