She is also the author of a book on Italian Baroque bass continuo playing. After studying at the Royal College of Music in London (RCM) and working as a collaborator at the Victoria \u0026amp; Albert Museum, Nuti has been a member of Il Pomo d'Oro, Maude Antiquo, and Natalie Stutzman's Orfeo 55, which is at the forefront of the music of her native Italy. He is a talented musician. His deep understanding of Bach's works was demonstrated in the Sonatas for Violin and Keyboard (A426) he recorded with Chiara Zanisi for ARCANA, and this time he performs all six partitas, the first fruits of the \"Keyboard Exercises,\" which Bach began publishing at his own expense after becoming music director of Leipzig in an attempt to compile his own keyboard techniques. The recording includes all six partitas, the first fruits of Bach's \"Keyboard Exercises\".The performance is spun out with a fresh touch and without effort, but with an exquisite interpretation that captures every detail of the music's qualities, and while it is truly fresh, it is also rich in meaning. The instruments used are elaborate reproductions based on instruments made in 1751 by Emsch, a Parisian master craftsman who lived at the same time as Bach. Emsch's teacher was Anton Furter (French name in Paris: Antoine Vater), a keyboard maker from Hanover who was also a friend of Telemann, and the model instrument was made in Paris in the tradition of Furter's style, and is often chosen for performances of German music that uses a two-stage keyboard. The model instrument was made in Paris but follows the tradition of the Farter school (Frederik Haas of the Hitasura label also uses it for his Bach recordings). ARCANA's natural engineering, with its clear sound image and comfortable balance of reverberation, is also a pleasure.
