The album consists of works by two composers who are generally not mentioned at the same time. One is the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915), and the other is the Neapolitan composer Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757).\n\n\n\nThe album SCRIABIN-SCARLATTI creates a dreamlike meditation in which the boundaries between the work, the period, and the state of mind seem to disappear. The album begins and ends with fragments from the finale of Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 1.The full performance of this sonata by Azar is then framed by selected Scriabin exercises and preludes, six Scarlatti sonatas, and an improvised \"transition\" by the pianist himself.\n\n\n\nAzar chose two different Steinways for the recording, one for its rich, dark sound, the other for its clear, articulate tone. These Scriabin and Scarlatti pieces are like imaginary creatures from another dimension, each with its own character, its own life, its own past, present, and future\" (Julius Azar).\"\n\nSays the 27-year-old artist, a rare talent who composes innovative programs, \"Everything is possible in a dream.\" 'Different materials from different eras and of different densities can be fused together to create new substances.' That's what I felt while recording the music of Scriabin and Scarlatti.\"\n\n\n\nJulius Azar was born into a musical family in 1997 and began self-taught piano improvisation at an early age; he has also been taught by Eldar Nevorshin since 2017 and András Schiff since 2021. Along with those two influences, I am also inspired by musicians such as Alfred Brendel, Gidon Kremer, and Menahem Pressler. Currently, he is regularly invited to international festivals and renowned concert halls such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Reisshalle in Hamburg, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.\n\n\n\nI was immediately struck by Julius Azar's piano playing. How did he find that uniquely resonant sound? It was as if the instrument was teaching him its secrets.\n\nThis artist is truly a worthy find. It is not often that this becomes clear after he has played a few beginning notes.\"--Klassik Heute\n\n\"Enraptured and strange.\"-Le Monde\n\n(UNIVERSAL MUSIC\/IMS)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Dgg (Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft)","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48516331110689,"sku":"28948652808","price":896000.0,"currency_code":"IDR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/28948652808.jpg?v=1712060458","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-id\/products\/28948652808","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
