The world premiere recording of Hans Gall's Piano Concerto (AV 2358) was selected as "Critics Choice" by Gramophone magazine, and Hans Gall's Piano Trio Collection (AV 2390) was selected as "Recording of the Month" by MusicWeb International, British pianist Sarah Beth Briggs, who has made her name and reputation with a series of Hans Gall recordings, makes her first solo recording for Avie Records, and her major repertoire includes Schumann's Butterflies and Children's Scenes, and Brahms' Op. 117 and 118 Pieces She is the wife of Robert Schumann. A collection of romantic and charming pieces heavily influenced by Robert Schumann's wife and Brahms' muse, Clara Schumann, who at age 11 was a finalist for the BBC Young Musician of the Year and the youngest recipient of the Myra Hess Award. Sarah Beth Briggs went international four years later, becoming co-winner of the Salzburg International Mozart Competition.She has given recitals in major halls in the UK and performed recitals and concertos in Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and the USA.
