Master musician Bruno Ligut, new recording after a long time! Master of richly romantic performances, Bruno Rigut, is back with a new recording after a long absence. Born in Paris to an Italian father and French mother, Ligutto was the only pupil of Sanson-François, and won the Ron-Thibault International Competition in 1965 and the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1966, and has since been active internationally. He is also well known as a pedagogue, and his students include internationally acclaimed pianists such as Lise de La Salle. Ligut recorded several of Chopin's nocturnes in the 1970s, and now he has re-recorded them as a complete set, in chronological order of composition. Ligut, who was praised by his teacher François as having "a wonderful tone, a great sense of improvisation, and a lot of romantic poetry," gives a very romantic performance.
