In 1925, Kreisler was still at the height of his activity when SP records with electric recordings were released. Volume 9 contains a series of recordings made between 1927 and 1928. The recordings capture the full range of Kreisler's mature technique and beautiful tone at the age of 52 at the time. The album also includes the first recording of his own composition "Gypsy Caprice," Ernee Dohnányi's great "Hungarian Pastoral" recorded in New York in 1928, and a series of piano trio versions recorded in Berlin with his brother Hugo.
