Description:

Pierre Syrinx was born in Belgium, studied composition and classical literature at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, received the "Prix Henri Pousseur" for young musicians in 2013, and has since received numerous awards and is currently a member of "SMOG", a monthly contemporary and experimental music concert series in Brussels. He is currently a member of "SMOG", which holds monthly concerts of contemporary and experimental music in Brussels. The album "c#1" is a duo work with organist Cindy Castillo and live electronics, using J.S. Bach's chorale "Oh Lord God, have mercy on me" BWV721 as the material, and composed in several sections, including "Chant d' Oiseau" (=Bird's Prayer) and "Oiseau" (=Bird's Prayer), which is a piece for a solo piano. Oiseau (=Ode of the Birds) church's Kreuker organ is used to its fullest, while a new sound is created by the fusion of the organ and electronics. Naxos Japan
