Jazz album by the keyboard player of Dawes (Dawes) released on GroundUP led by Michael League. Produced & bassist Paul Bryan and featuring Jeff Parker (g), this is the latest release from Lee Pardini, keyboardist for the LA folk-rock band Dawes, who headlined Heaven at Fuji Rock in 2022, and has been a member since 2016. In addition to his work as a member of Dawes and with Roger Waters, Aimee Mann, and others, Lee also graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in 2007 with a degree in Jazz Piano. Already in 2021, he released the critically acclaimed jazz album "Homebodies" on GroundUp Music, featuring Paul Bryan, Jeff Parker, Josh Johnson, and others. Its second album is finally completed.As with the previous album, the band members include Aimee Mann's Grammy-winning "Mental Illness," Jeff Parker's albums, and bassist Paul Bryan (who also produced, recorded, and mixed the album), who has toured with Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, Norah Jones, and Michel Ndegeocello, and is known for his work on the albums and tours of Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, Norah Jones, and Michel Ndegeocello, among others. Bassist Paul Bryan (who also produces/records/mixes). The band also features guitarist Jeff Parker, now a one-and-only beatmaker who creates his own sonic space, and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes on drums. Paul Bryan's bass and Lee Pardini's synth bass create a restrained and soulful groove, while Lee Pardini's piano/keyboards and Jeff Parker weave melodies and beats organically within this space. This is a substantial work by one of Michael League's hottest artists of the moment.
