Treasure Ark, a series of quality live music selections! The band played in Dallas, Texas in November '82 with a super band. From the "Get Closer USA Tour" of '82, this is a perfect, best-hit record from November 25, Thanksgiving Day at the Reunion Arena in Dallas, TX! In the world of rock and roll, Linda Ronstadt was at the height of her powers in the late 70's. Every album she released after 1974 went platinum, and her popularity peaked with her third #1 album, "Living in the USA" (1978). Linda's appearance on the cover, with her permed short cut and roller skates, seems like a role model for young American women of this era. In the 80's, Linda began to try her hand at popular songs, and after 1983, she took a break from rock for a while. This show was played during the last week of his rock period.Perhaps because of this, the songs selected for this album are the best hits from her latest album, "Get Closer" (1982), and also from her albums after she moved to Asylum. Linda does not write many of her own songs, but often receives songs from songwriters or sings cover songs, and this selection is a good example of her song stylist style. For the backing band, long-time Linda supporters Kenny Edwards and Andrew Gold remain in the band, albeit away from their own main instrumental responsibilities, and the rest of the band is made up of the best session men of the era. Linda's own vocals are also in great shape, making this a great show that truly shows why Linda Ronstadt was at her best during this era.
