Description:

The long-awaited official release is now available! Klemperer Philadelphia Orchestra, live guest performance in full stereo in 1962. More than 10 years of negotiations finally bore fruit. The American orchestras in particular are not interested in their own historical performances and recordings, and not only are they not interested, but they are very negative about publishing them. Many pirate recordings of Klemperer's last visit to the U.S. in 1962 with the Philadelphia Orchestra have been confirmed to be stereo recordings, and fans have been itching to hear them in their original sound quality. In fact, the Philadelphia Orchestra archive recordings we have obtained are all in stereo and the sound quality is crystal clear. The separation is excellent, with Klemperer's signature violin on both left and right wings. The low strings sounded like they were on the left side. However, the acoustic of the hall is super dead. As those who have actually been to the Academy of Music will know, this is a hall tone unique to the old days. The hall's lack of resonance is probably due to the fact that there is no way to fake it.Klemperer, who was invited by Ormandy to perform not only in Philadelphia but also throughout the U.S. in 1962, seems to have been full of energy and stamina, and his playing has a strong sense of rhythm, as if he were delivering an iron hammer. The Bach was sparkling and joyful. The scale of "Jupiter" was superb, as if the whole world were in view. The Beto 7, one of the most popular pieces in the repertoire, is not performed live very often, so this disc is a must-have. The Philadelphia Orchestra boasts of its woodwind charm and virtuosity. This is an official release in UHQCD with perfect sound quality. Tobu Land System
