On that day, both pianists recognized and respected each other's abilities, but time passed without any opportunity for the two signature pianists to perform together. Ken Oi, who had retired from the Keyboard Boys unit, and Jacob, who had successfully launched the hit Jacob \u0026amp; Yomii, were searching for the next collaboration, and by a quirk of timing, this piano unit was born. The project began in the spring of 2022, and after Jacob's painstakingly created scores for two major pianos and more than enough time for individual rehearsals, the still photography and recording took place in a beautiful studio in Tokyo, Japan, with two grand pianos.Jacob's brother, Ben Koehler, a top photographer in the U.S., came to Japan for the photo session, and several high-quality artist photos were taken.
