Tombstone" is the counterpart to "The Life & Times Of..." released in 2012. released in 2012, and the majority of the songs on the album are dedications. It was created and performed in memory of the Hot 8 band members, other musicians, and close friends who passed away in spite of their dedication to the practice and maintenance of New Orleans traditions and recovery from Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the city in 2005. For the people of New Orleans, the second line rhythm is seeping deep into the recesses of their memories. On this album, the tough rhythms are full of life and power, and the brass funk that has been passed down from generation to generation in New Orleans resonates powerfully with mixed emotions of joy, anger, and sorrow. The Japanese bonus track is a cover of Stevie Wonder's classic "All I Do. This is a masterpiece that follows their famous cover of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing," which made them world-famous.
