They were told by PAT QUILTER of the pro-audio company They asked PAT to develop an amplifier that would not break while playing, and PAT designed the famous \"Master Volume Dial\" amplifier for the band.\n\n\n\nThe result is a rare private demo album of eight tracks, all of which are the result of the ultra-loud QUILTER amps. A Texas promoter who spotted the band while they were playing in Southern California brought them to Austin, where they shared the stage with FREDDIE KING, ALLMAN BROTHERS, JOHNNY WINTER, ZZ TOP, and others. On their way there, they recorded a demo LP of MARIANI, known as ERIC JOHNSON's maiden band, at the legendary SONOBEAT STUDIOS studio, which is also known for recording COLD SUN, one of the greatest US psychedelic albums of all time.\n\n\n\nThe original version of this album, with its plain sleeve and band sticker, which was only sold at a small record shop in Southern California and never circulated, is known as an extremely rare record in the history of US hard rock music.\n\n\n\nRemastered from the original master tape.
