Although Le Saout is mining well-worn territory, his heavy use of samples and his knack for establishing a highly cinematic atmosphere set him apart from the pack, as revealed on his cut-up, movie-dialogue-laden version of "Que Sera" and the dreamy "How I Feel," which weaves in the unmistakable voice of Nina Simone.
