Stereophonics, the Welsh guitar rock band from Wales, have had 6 #1 albums in the UK, 10 Top 10 albums, 23 Platinum Sales Awards, over 8.5 million albums sold in the UK alone, 5 BRIT nominations and 1 award. The band has been nominated for a total of five BRIT Awards and won one award, and has been thrilling their fans with their beautiful yet robust melodies, Kelly's warm and husky vocals, and their classic UK rock 'n' roll sound. Since their debut, the band has consistently released an album almost every two years, all of which have been highly accomplished, and this new album, "Kind," their first since 2017's "Scream Above the Sounds," was recorded entirely in just 11 days with minimal studio equipment. Frontman Kelly describes it as "a work of moments without overdubs, an album full of hope and honesty." The album is produced by Kelly Jones and George Drakoulias (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Screaming Trees, Primal Scream).Kelly's vivid, emotional, and breathy vocals are very impressive, and "Fly Like an Eagle," the first single from the album, is a song that truly expresses the taste of the album. The deluxe edition will include six demo tracks from the album as bonus tracks for a total of 16 songs. 'The last time we did a world tour was in September 2018 - location Brooklyn. We've done it all, so we didn't want to write music right now or try anything new. I just wanted to stop for a while. By November, a lot of music was coming out of me. The lyrics just naturally filled the pages without any revisions, and the songs started to take shape. The songs were very open, honest, and sensitive. It was like this was telling me how I had been feeling. I didn't know or care that anyone would want this kind of music. It was just the right time for these songs to come out of me.(About "Kind") "We simply captured the performance as it was and recorded it in 11 days. Fly Like an Eagle" (the first single) was the first song I wrote for the album, and it kind of covers the foundation of the whole album. The lyrics, "wanna fly like an eagle, and dare to reborn," are not religious, but rather about change and growth. It is about change and growth, and not staying in the comfort zone of your life.
