Through two EPs, two singles, and a stripped-down live album, Puma Blue has established himself as one of the UK's most important new talents, amassing over 50 million streams and selling out shows in London, Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo. And now they are looking to build on that reputation with the release of their debut album, "In Praise of Shadows," on January 29, 2021February 5, 2021 on Blue Flowers. In Praise of Shadows is a dreamland of soulful vocals, D'Angelo-esque guitars, and muted electronic beats. It's "a balance of light and dark. It is the pain that needs to be healed or embraced that will take you to a better place. It's about finding the light in the darkness. That's what got me here today," says 25-year-old Jacob Allen, aka Puma Blue, about the album's 14 tracks. He is based in London, England. He first gained attention in 2014 with his Soundcloud demo "Only Trying 2 Tell U" and has slowly built a following through shows around London and on the internet. self-released an EP, Swum Baby. Two singles were then released on Blue Flowers, followed by a second EP, Blood Loss, in November 2018.In October 2019, he released a live album, On His Own (Live at Eddie's Attic, Atlanta). In the meantime, the band has played sold-out shows in London, Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo.
