For the first installment of this compilation, Paul Hillary, who of course received much praise for his classic summer sunset compilation WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE SUN, once again dives into the warehouse to select 17 rare cuts that are even better. A vast array of private pressings, including some previously unreleased material, perfect for the British summer and Balearic poolside. The featured track is "Morning Brings The Light," a folk-funk masterpiece by Grand Union, now on record for the first time. Undone by Tasha Lee McCluney, a previously unreleased groove co-written with Joey Steck of Kurt Boettcher's Millennium. Teardrops Lost In The Rain (Stallions Remix)" by Findlay Brown also has the folky vibe of the original, but with a hypnotic space disco twist that retains its mellowness. The flute-driven jazz classic "Weepin' by Cascada" with Jaime Ruth, Ronald Langestrath, and Ben Van Bergen on percussion is also excellent.And the anthemic "Let Me Ride" by Australian singer-songwriter Peter Campbell will leave listeners yearning for more.
