Description:

Following the highly acclaimed 2015 release of a collection of works for male chorus (FOCD-20106), here comes the long-awaited collection of works for female chorus. The Haiku By World Children series, produced as a project of the JAL Foundation, is a collection of haiku and paintings by children from around the world. Using this collection, which was compiled with the idea of world peace at its core, as its text, Teruaki Suzuki composed three choral suites: the first, "To the Forest" (1992); the second, "Wind of Vision, Sea of Light" (2002); and the third, "The Tree of Dreams" (2016). (To commemorate the completion and premiere of the third work, commissioned by the JAL Foundation, all three works in the series are included on one CD. Both schools, Izumo City Daiichi Junior High School (& OG) and Seisen Jogakuin Music Club, are regular competitors in national chorus contests, have performed many of Teruaki Suzuki's works, and are highly trusted by the composer himself. Please listen to these three masterpieces, which are frequently performed as free style pieces in the All Japan Chorus Competition.
