The NHK Symphony Orchestra played with Krecki in Paris! Very rare Uninsky's Chopin concerto! The NHK Symphony Orchestra's 1960 round-the-world tour of the NHK Symphony Orchestra has been recorded in Paris on October 24 at the Salle Pleyel, where the great conductor Paul Krecki and the great singer Fischer-Dieskau performed together with the NHK Symphony Orchestra. The concert was a dream come true because of the Paris concert. Fischer-Dieskau, who was 35 years old at the time, was superb. The delicacy of the three "Lyre Songs," which Wolff himself arranged for orchestral accompaniment, and the sympathy for Mahler are both superb. Another highlight was the performance of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 with Alexander Uninsky, the winner of the Second International Chopin Competition in 1932, as soloist. Uninsky is rare among the past winners of the competition, as recordings of Chopin's piano concertos are not available.
