The Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Archive Series, Vol. 2! The only Mahler No. 9 by the genius Heinz Lechner! This is a continuation of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Archive Series. Heinz Löckner, a genius, served as the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra's Permanent Conductor from 1983 to 1992, after which he became Honorary Conductor, continuing a long and successful relationship with the orchestra. He has been a longtime conductor with the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra, and his wide repertoire of German and French music, as well as his unique interpretations, have made connoisseurs swoon. He also left behind some great interpretations of Mahler as well as Bruckner, but they are few in number, and the Ninth was not recorded by any German broadcaster, so it is thought that there were few performance opportunities for this work. In terms of content, this is "Mahler like Mozart. It runs at a frighteningly rapid pace. It is a unique performance, full of delicacy, but also full of a sense of urgency.
