Description:
Special mention in the September issue of Record-Geijutsu (Recorded Arts)! The Quartet Berlin-Tokyo has won the Orlando International Competition since its formation in 2011. The Quartet Berlin-Tokyo has been active internationally, mainly in Berlin and Tokyo. While serving as the resident quartet of the Rokkatei Sapporo Main Store's Fukinoto Hall, the quartet has appeared at La Folle Journée and frequently at music festivals around the world. Since the year before last (with an interruption due to the new Corona), they have held concerts of Beethoven's string quartets in three German cities, including Berlin. Their debut CD chosen was Haydn's masterpiece, Op. 76 in its entirety. Their performance gives new life to the quartet's playing with its well-balanced ensemble, clean tone, and deep, concerned interpretation. It was also selected as a specially selected disc in the September 2022 issue of Record Geijutsu magazine. Tobu Shoji Co.
