[Best Classics 100 Poles (70)] The two concertos by Chopin were released in 2010, 25 years after Jichie Koyama won the Chopin Competition and on the occasion of the bicentennial of Chopin's birth. Koyama, who has been known as a Chopin player, has recorded two Chopin piano concertos that, strangely enough, had not yet been recorded. The musicians who performed with him were all related to Chopin's hometown of Poland. The conductor is Jacek Kaspsik, a Polish-born conductor who has won prizes at the Karajan Competition. The orchestra is Sinfonia Varsovia, founded in Poland by violinist Yehudi Menuhin. All of these performers are closely associated with Chopin, and their performance is full of empathy and thoroughness. This recording uses the original "Chopin National Edition" (PWM), edited by Echier, which the Polish government is currently working on with national prestige, and is the first recording by a Japanese pianist.
