The artwork for this series is provided by Hiroshi Nagai, a master of the illustration world known for Eiichi Otaki's "A LONG VACATION. ◇Maurice White (b. 1941), leader of EW&F, passed away in February 2016. He started his musical career as a jazz drummer in Chicago, moved to LA, and made his debut as EW&F in 1971, gaining popularity with their gorgeous funk-disco sound that skillfully mixed elements of various genres. This is his only solo album, released in 1985 after a hiatus from the group, and recorded with John Robinson (ds), Paul Jackson Jr. (g), Abraham Laboriel (b), Robbie Buchanan (key), and others.The ballad "I Need You," used in commercials, and a cover of Ben E.
