The rich orchestral sound of the Philadelphia Orchestra, with its thick string section as the core, flawless woodwinds, and beautiful brass, has been preserved, and the orchestra's peak of orchestral art in the 20th century, from the 1950s and 60s, when it was full of vigor, to the 70s, when it grew in maturity and depth, has been beautifully engraved. This is a revival of one of the most popular collections of orchestral pieces of the LP era, compiled on two CDs based on the original march collections released in 1963 and 1968, and featuring a selection of the best classical marches of all time and from all over the world. The brilliant Philadelphia musicians (especially in the brass part) demonstrate their abilities in a spontaneous manner, and the CDs are filled with great performances that will make you feel refreshed.
