Description:
Composer Filippo Del Corno, born in 1970, studied composition at the Milan Conservatory. His works have been performed by Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and the Lucerne Music Festival. In addition to composing, he currently teaches at the Conservatory of Milan. The Orchestre Musicale I Pomerigi Musicali made its debut on November 27, 1945, shortly after World War II, and has contributed greatly to the dissemination of the music of the great artists of the 20th century, which was banned during the fascist era. The orchestra boasts a diverse repertoire that includes masterpieces from the Baroque, Classical, and early Romantic periods, as well as a wide range of modern and contemporary compositions. This album features a wonderful lineup of soloists, including clarinetist Dimitri Ashkenazy, son of Vladimir Ashkenazy, and pianist Emanuele Archiulli. Tokyo M-Plus
