Description:

Fane, a minimalist and ambient piano specialist, surprised us in 2014 with a piano box of seven Einaudi albums, and the following year, 2015, he released from it "Neferi" [1999], similar to "The Return" [2002], the music of the TV drama "Partners" [2002], and and "White Clouds" [2004], which became a worldwide hit, and other popular songs were extracted and released in a 2-CD best-of set. Fane's first Einaudi CD in many years will again be a 7-CD box following the 2014 set: "clouds," a 7-CD set of the music of Ludovico Einaudi, who has been called the Erik Satie of the 21st century and is very popular in Europe. The music is performed by Jeroen van Veen, who is also an ardent introducer of minimalist piano music. The previous 7-CD Einaudi set "Waves" was very well received in Europe, and this time the piano sound itself has been enriched, as Einaudi has arranged many pieces that were originally chamber ensembles, including the hit "White Clouds (nuove bianche)". The long version of "White Clouds (nuove bianche)," for example, is the most comfortable. Ludovico Einaudi was born in Turin on November 23, 1955. His father was Giulio Einaudi [1912-1999], a founding publisher, and his grandfather Luigi Einaudi [1874-1961], an economist who was President of Italy from 1948 to 1955. From an early age, he learned piano from his mother Renata (née Aldrovandi), and also played on the Beatles' album "Revolver" (released in 1966; also known as "The Beatles' album"). Influenced by string quartets, Indian music, jazz, and electronic music), he also began to play the guitar, but continued his musical studies in classical music and entered the Conservatory of Turin. He then studied composition with Atzio Corghi [1937-2022] at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, graduating in 1982, and studied with Luciano Berio during his graduate studies, and also went to the United States to study at Tanglewood, studying American minimalism. While at the Conservatory, from 1978 to 1980, he played keyboards for the progressive rock band Venegoni & Co. and participated in the albums "Rumore Rosso" (Red Noise), released in 1978, and "Salabanda" (Sarabanda), released in 1979. In classical music, his numerous works for orchestra and ensemble have been performed at La Scala in Milan, IRCAM in Paris, and Lincoln Center in New York City; in 1984, the ballet "On the Edge of Orpheus"; in 1988, "At the End of the Sky" for wind ensemble and "Time out" for theater Time out" for wind ensemble and "The Wild Man" for the Oregon Dance Company in 1991. A turning point came in 1992 with "Stanze" for harpist Cecilia Chailly (sister of the famous conductor), and since then, more and more beautiful works projecting minimalist elements and others.
