Ella Fitzgerald, aka "The First Lady of Song" and "The Queen of Jazz," has unearthed completely unreleased live recordings. The last time Ella's unpublished recordings were released was more than 10 years ago, so this new discovery is a rare find in the history of music. This live recording was made in Berlin in 1962 and has been kept in the private collection of Norman Granz. Ella Fitzgerald and Berlin are also known for the Grammy Award-winning "Mack the Knife - Ella in Berlin," a smash hit recorded in 1960 (and inducted into the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Grammy Awards Hall of Fame in 1999). This album was recorded two years after Ella's triumphant return to Berlin, and is a valuable source of 16 songs by the powerful singer in her prime, along with her famous live recordings of the past. This album includes "Mack" and "Mack". This album also includes "Mack the Knife," which will allow you to experience a new kind of frenzy.This work is fun to listen to and compare with her big hit from two years ago, and gives us an insight into her maturation process as an artist. *This product will be available for purchase on Friday, so products will be delivered on or after the day of release.
