These were actively performed when he was active, but have rarely been performed since the 20th century. In the 21st century, however, violinist Raimund Richey of the Vienna Philharmonic has taken the lead in reviving Meiseder's works, and Thomas Christian, who performs on this album, has participated in performances of chamber music and violin concertos, and has even conducted a Mass piece. He also conducts the Mass and has been making efforts to popularize the works. All of the works on this album are world premiere recordings, and all of them, including variations on melodies popular at the time, polonaises, and duets, have a gorgeous atmosphere that reflects the virtuosity of the violin, and are performed in an intimate setting by Christian and Cloquet on piano.
