For this album, he is joined by cellist Marcin Zdunik to perform four works by four Polish composers of the 20th century: Tansman, Bacewicz, H.H. Jabłoński, and Magin. All of these works are different in style, but they all share a common thread: they are inspired by Polish folk music and written in the tradition. Soloist Zdunik is a cellist who has earned a reputation for his improvisations and arrangements. He currently teaches at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Stanislaw Monyuszko Conservatory.
