The main character is István I, who founded the Kingdom of Hungary in 1000 A.D. The subtitle reads \"Hungary's First Good Ruler. The text is by August von Kotzebue, as in \"The Ruins of Athens,\" but in this album, as in the previous one, Kai Wessler has reworked it to make it relevant to the 21st century by replacing it with modern language. The album also includes four other overtures related to the opera \"Fidelio.
