Description:
The Complete Works of Makoto Kusakawa, Composer of the Masterpiece "Yuyayake Koyaki", has been started! Makoto Kusakawa Chamber Music Collection Special Edition" dedicated to the memory of his close friend Tamezo Narita "Fantasia" Makoto Kusakawa (1893-1948) will start his complete chamber music works. This time, as a special edition before the official first collection, "Fantasia" dedicated to the memory of Tamezo Narita and a children's song will be released at a special price. Mr. Kusakawa composed numerous children's songs, including "Yuyaki Koyaki," "Yurikago no Uta," and "Somewhere in the Spring," but "Yuyaki Koyaki" in particular has been sung by the public for centuries, and no one would be unaware of it. However, compared to the popularity of this song, how many people recognize the composer's name? And even more so, the fact is that no one, unless he or she is a researcher, has any way of knowing the existence or non-existence of the classical work. The recording of the complete chamber music collection began with handwritten scores that had been preserved by the Kusakawa family. I am in awe of the excellence of the works. It is a wonder that these scores have been left behind while children's songs have always been popular. The first of the Makoto Kusakawa recordings this time is the "Fantasia" trilogy dedicated to the spirit of Tamezo Narita. It was composed on the occasion of the death of his friend Tamezo Narita, with whom he had worked at the Tokyo Music School, and with whom he had broken new ground in creative children's songs. It is assumed that the fact that he composed this piece three times, changing the instrumentation, was an expression of his deep sadness. The melody of the famous "Hamabe no uta" (Song of the beach) and "Kutsuya" also appear in this piece, and it sounds as if the souls of Kusakawa and Narita are coming together in this piece. In the accompanying recording, mezzo-soprano Yuki Akimoto sings a children's song in high style. Tobu Shoji Co.
