Limited edition set of four masterpieces with the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin in SACD Hybrid format. This is a limited edition set of 4 titles (8 discs in total) with the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin in a crafted three-sided case with the single-sale package intact. PALTSA-001/2] The two unfinished symphonies, Schubert and Bruckner, were performed live in one day in 1993. Both works are Vandt's specialty, and they are very impressive. The "Unfinished" pulls the listener into the music at once with its terrifying bass. The sound is perfectly arranged, yet fierce and intense, and the overwhelming perfection of the sound creates a huge complex of supreme sound. PALTSA-003/4] The final movement of "Great," which is so dense that one does not feel its length at all, has an outstanding sense of openness. The "Firebird" is not the common 1919 version, but the 1945 version, which is unique to Vant. The Chai 5, which is a perfect crystallization of power, beauty, song and construction, is also irresistible! PALTSA-005/6] The supreme Beethoven recordings that cannot be missed when talking about Vant. The first and the third were performed live on the same day, and from the first, the sound was powerful, tight, and sculptural. In "Hero," the sound was further deepened, and it emerges before the listener as an overwhelming structure of sound. The timpani in the "Funeral March" are so sublime that they are almost frightening. This is one of the greatest performances of the 1990s. PALTSA-007/8] These are two different live performances of "Rural" and "Destiny" from 1992 and 1994. The interpretations are basically the same, but the 1992 performance is the perfection of a controlled performance, dominated by a rigor that is unrelenting. On the other hand, in 1994, the musicianship of Vant is shifting toward a more free and open style of playing, and we can sense a change in his musicality. The "Fate" of 1992, with its perfect formative beauty, and the "Rural" of 1994, with its supple fluidity, are irresistible.
