Rhumba Country was initially shaped from material generated while LaFarge was immersed in farm work. He explains, \"I'd be pushing a tiller or sowing seeds, and a song would come to me. I realized that, aside from singing, farming is probably the oldest art form known to mankind,\" LaFarge said.
