The recording by Kubelík \u0026amp; the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from 1958 was selected for this album from among many recordings. The coupling of \"Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta, Sz. 106,\" one of the first recordings by Karajan \u0026amp; the Berlin Philharmonic and commissioned for the 10th anniversary concert of the Basel Chamber Orchestra, led by Paul Sacher, was made in 1960, and \"Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta, Sz. 106,\" also commissioned by Benny Goodman, the \"King of Swing,\" was made in 1961.
