Carmine Appice (Dr.) and Tim Bogart (Bass), who were known as the greatest rhythm section in rock at the time, formed Cactus with Jim McCarty (G) and Rusty Day (Vo) after the accident that killed their new band with Jeff Beck. This 8-CD box set includes the four Cactus albums with bonus tracks and four live recordings that were originally available only on the Internet. The band's dynamic hard-driving sound with Apis and Bogart's technical and assertive performance proves that they were one of the most famous bands representing early American hard rock.
