The front cover is a shot in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. ＜Gauthier Capuçon was born in Chambéry, France in 1981, and began studying the cello at the age of 4. He studied with Philippe Muller and Annie Coche-Zakeine, and also studied with Heinrich Schiff in Vienna.In 2001, he was awarded \"New Talent of the Year\" at the Victoires de la Musique in France, where he was instantly noticed as a cellist representing the new generation. He has performed with Haitink, Nagano, Boulez, Gatti, Ozawa, and Abbado, and is also active in chamber music.
