The \"Mobius Wheel\" is not only a symbol of \"infinity,\" but also a reflection of the actual structure of \"samsara. In contemporary musical thought, it is also a symbol of intercontinental and intergenerational flows. Its beginning, or rather its point of contact, is characterized by the figure of Krzysztof Penderecki, artistic director of Sinfonia Varsovia and the most important Polish composer of the 20th century. Penderecki's works have had a profound influence on the shape of contemporary musical culture in Europe and beyond. His work has been an inspiration to artists around the world, as evidenced by the music of Korean composer Jaejoong Ryu, who was a student of Penderecki's.The three works included here represent three distinct visions of contemporary music. The perspectives offered are invaluable and embody a unique combination of European and Asian musical sensibilities.
