Lily Krauss (1903-1986) was a Jewish pianist from Budapest, Hungary. She studied at the Franz Liszt Conservatory and at the age of 17 entered the Budapest Conservatory, where she studied with Artur Schnabel, Kodály, and Bartók in the classical tradition. Thereafter, she performed mainly Mozart and Beethoven, among others, and her recordings with violinist Szymon Goldberg contributed to her international fame. However, it is also known that while in Java on an Asian tour in 1942, she and her family were detained by the Japanese military and remained under house arrest until the end of World War II. After that, he became a British citizen and has been actively performing and is regarded as a \"peerless Mozart player. She must have had deep feelings (resentment?) toward the country of Japan. However, she came to Japan frequently after the war, and each time she delighted Japanese audiences with her masterful performances, a testament to the greatness of her soul as a musician. Her playing is more pronounced than that of Ingrid Hebler of the same age with her crisp accents and passionate expression, but it is not radical like today's music, but rather elegant and flowing, accompanied by a sense of songfulness. It is truly \"angelic music\" of eternal beauty. This album was very well received when it was previously available in a Japanese edition, and now you can hear all of her music in one package. It has been remastered 24bit\/96k for this box. This will be a completely limited production, first time only.
