After reaching the age of over 90, he once again attracted great attention as a soloist, and continued to perform as an active pianist until nearly 100, making him a miracle performer. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, the entirety of the two solo recitals that he gave in December 1987 on his first visit to Japan for the opening of the Casals Hall in Tokyo, including previously unreleased pieces, have been newly reissued from the original masters recorded by the Funhouse label at the time, and are recorded in the order of performance on the day of the recitals.
