The five works included treat sound itself as an object of contemplation, guiding the listener toward memory, the unconscious, nature, political consciousness, and the very roots of human existence. By eschewing superficial flashiness and instead listening intently to subtle sonic fluctuations, noise, and the resonances that emerge from silence, these works open up new horizons of emotion and perception.
The opening track, *audebut-aprestout*, is a meditative piece centered on the themes of “beginning” and “return.” In *Die Würde des Menschen ist antastbar* (Human Dignity Is Vulnerable), two percussionists construct a tension-filled sonic space, posing questions about history and human dignity. *drawings* is a “sound drawing” inspired by the paintings of Pollock, Kiefer, and others; *stetsnamenlos, jederzeit* is a fantastical work linking the marshland landscapes of northern Germany with a warning to society; and *no.80* presents the very act of “listening” as a space of freedom within contemporary society.
ARCANTUS

Tracklisting:

1.Au debut - apres tout
2.Die Wurde des Menschen ist Antastbar
3.Drawings
4.Stets Namenlos, jederzeit
5.No. 80
