The “Woodwind Quintet” is one of Françaix’s most densely composed and powerful works; it was originally composed for the woodwind quintet of the Orchestre de Paris. The “Kammervereinigung Berlin” performing here is a woodwind quintet founded in 1984 by a group of young German musicians. Composed entirely of members possessing advanced technique, ensemble skills, and musical expression, the group boasts a distinguished track record, having won awards at various international competitions. Each member is active as a soloist or as a member of Germany’s leading orchestras, and their flawless performances—born of remarkable concentration—leave a lasting impression on audiences.
UNIVERSAL MUSIC/IMS

Tracklisting:

1.Quintet No. 1 for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon: Andante tranquillo.
