Featuring unreleased originals, tracks from their debut LP, and classic cumbia covers, the night captured the vibrant spirit that characterizes their sound.

The concert at Thalia Hall in March was a special night. A few months earlier, we had successfully played a sold-out show at Chicago's Empty Bottle. The enthusiasm of the crowd and the high demand for that show showed that Chicago was an important place for our music. Until a few more months prior to that, we had been playing small bars and dance parties all over the city of Los Angeles and had little experience playing outside of LA.After about six months of stepping up to perform in larger theaters, we had a strong desire to maintain the energy of Los Angeles' dense dance clubs wherever we played. We realized that goal at Thalia Hall. We built a round, bright red stage and placed it in the middle of the room. The hall was completely packed and people were dancing and hollering around the circular stage. During some of the songs, people even got up on stage and danced along with us. Jacob Butler (sometimes known as the fourth member of LA LOM) has documented every video we have made from the beginning. He spent time with us at Thalia Hall, filming every angle of the stage and capturing the audience. We had crews in place to record the whole thing on tape. The result is a truly amazing live video from one of the most exciting gigs ever, and the audio remains in very high quality throughout. It combines original compositions (some of which appeared on the band's debut LP that year, others still unreleased), covers of classic Cumbia from Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, and old soul ballads by Smokey Robinson. This is much of the music that formed the sound of LA LOM," the band comments.

Tracklisting:

1. Alacran [Live At Thalia Hall]2.
