Born in Venice to a prominent Venetian family, whose grandfather was the renowned painter Luigi NONO (1850-1918), he inherited a passion for art and music, and from 1919 studied piano, organ, and composition at the \"Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi\" in Turin. After graduation, he taught Alfano and Ghedini. His works won numerous prizes at international competitions, and he was also highly regarded as a composer. Fugue, who called himself a \"survivor of the Romantic school\" and believed that music is an expression of emotion, turned his attention to the sonata form, which was rarely explored by his contemporaries, and wrote three brilliant sonatas with minimal avant-garde elements. These are the pinnacle of his piano music. They are performed by Fuga's two children, siblings Giacomo and Carlotta, and by Fuga's direct disciple, Claudio Vogela from Turin.
